i've been calling this whole relatively recent female indie singer songwriter wave (Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Clario, Snail Mail, etc.) sadgirl music to compliment what i call that basement math emo pop punk shit, sadboi music. but latte indie works too

I enjoyed this a lot, but I have to be honest, I think Immunity has more staying power because of the melodies/choruses. Even though I admire this direction she's taken, I think there's a slight dip in songwriting quality. Both are very solid albums though, and I think she's going to have a consistently good career.

I haven't listened to immunity in a while, but I just like how introspective this is- it feels more authentic to her while immunity felt to me like someone who was trying to react to the initial criticisms she got by making a P4k approved record

hmm yeah well the sequencing I'm not the biggest fan of I must say, I did state previously how I'm a bigger fan of the 1st half, and even if the whole thing has been growing on me, that remains true

this was in equal parts boring and beautiful, i give it a very light 3.3
i dont think it has anything to do with jack antonoff or his production, i think the songwriting and (lack of) hooks have become less interesting since immunity. however i still see a lot of potential here
