this website's ability to agree has plummeted in the last years. i feel like an album holding a 4.0+ is a near impossibility recently, when there are obviously a ton of music albums out there that would equate to more than an 8 out of 10.

I simply love how you can clearly hear the bass lines throughout the whole album. Gorgeous production.
Also, this is probably my 3rd fav Helloween album. This >> Walls of Jericho.
Edit: Dang, listening to this for the second time is making me rethink my score... This could be a 4,5 for sure!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but their guitarist Kai Hansen is supporting Alice Weidel, member of the Nazi party AfD and posting shit like it's proven that people die from C19 vaccines on facebook, made even worse by using words like "Endsieg" which is straight third reich shit.

I've seen such mixed things on Kai. he's a jerk, he's a sweetheart, he's a pro, he's hard to work with. he was great when I met him and his public persona is just a general boomer who grumbles about mask mandates but goes with it. where are these posts? definitely concerning but I don't have a clue what sort of context, nationally and historically, surrounds those people and phrases.

It was on facebook (obviously) and he deleted it already (obviously) and posted a bs "apology" in which he tries to make it seem like AfD (the Nazi party) is a party like any other, doubling down on what he said "because musicians can't tour for two years now". The context of the post from Alice Weidel was her spreading disinformation against the proposed vaccine mandate for certain workfields (nurses for the elderly etc) by Karl Lauterbach, Germany's new health secretary.
Endsieg is 100% a word only used by Nazis as it's tied to that era, just like heil or Endlösung. (Endsieg means winning WWII + eradication of all non Arians, Endlösung was the euphemistic term for the Holocaust.)
