Oh my I feel old. I think one of the first albums I bought at a rummage sale was an old beat up Beatles for sale LP. I do remember my first CD was the 4 non blondes debut.

*sigh* I think the CD that changed my musical journey (apart from formative stuff that my family listened to) was Out of Time by REM, I think it was my second CD, and was probably the first record I chose completely on my own. Had a monumental impact on me.

Lol the first album I ever bought was Aqua's Aquarium.

Both good picks, although Out of Time is actually one of my least favorite heyday-era REM albums.



Honestly, my brother had worse luck when it came to first records; his first was from the Baha Men, lol. We both eventually became serious music nerds, especially once we pursued music in middle school and high school, but it's funny how we started out with Avril Lavigne and Baha Men

Haha! Yeah Baha Men is probably more embarrassing than Aqua. There are a couple of legit bangers on Aquarium. There's no shame in Avril Lavigne being your first though.

Yeah, I'm actually glad that Let Go was one of my first records. In retrospect, it still stands as a great pop rock album
