Bowie and Page, absolutely re. weird sex shit. Lennon would have been shrugged off at best by today's peace movement with his domestic record bc intersectionality is now a thing, and Bolan I felt a little bad for including tbh but his egomania had a really romantic edge that I don't think would carry today.
I'm not preaching revisionism here, but I think those are all cogent examples of the contrast of zeitgeist attitudes SV is picking at with her concept choice
