"'It’s okay to not be okay' ughhhhh these dudes really are 13-year old girls who just browse tumblr all day aren’t they"
It gives me r/iam14andthisisdeep vibes lol

These guys are the absolute shits when it comes to album titles/artwork.
Not enjoying this at all, just feels so gimmicky and mainstream. Cool moments here and there, but this is about on the same level as new Architects.

Holy fuck that closer was the most pretentious thing I've ever heard

I’d never heard this band until I heard that Loathe were going on tour with them and Loathe rule so I thought I’d check these out...
Heard the two first singles off this and this review is no surprise as they absolutely sucked. Don’t understand how this band has such dedicated fans.

People love mediocrity I guess

Yeah I just don’t like this very much, but I wouldn’t have cared had that opener and closer not been so annoying

I'm going to chalk up the recent distaste for this band to their shift towards incorporating popular sounds. If you listen to the actual music, it's pretty clear that they're strong musicians. Additionally, from a songwriting standpoint, they inject a great deal of dynamics, different sounds, and interesting structures into their music. I'd call foul on anyone calling this more generic or less creative than their earlier work.
Unrelated, this comment section is full of elitists that give metal a bad name. If y'all had any self awareness you'd all be ashamed of yourselves.

This is more generic and less creative than their earlier work.
Yes, it also contains decent musicianship and songwriting, but it's marred but its awkward blend of pop and metalcore (which was balanced out far better on previous releases), awkward lyricism and awkward self-parody at best when it finally does then up the m/. Doesn't feel like elitism to state that.

Yeah dunno, I thought This Is The Six was great back in the day. Everything after that was kinda mediocre. I enjoyed that Sleeps Society single, might give this a spin, but I don't have high hopes.

They are trying desperately to be just as bad as BMTH.
It's a good competition between them.

Whats the best single off this? Tempted to pause what im listening to right now to check some of the singles out

Better than their previous album, it's enjoyable but it just doesn't hold up to their previous work.

"Holy fuck that closer was the most pretentious thing I've ever heard"
