You can lead a horse to water, as they say

it is a very good testament to this band that they have like three/four releases that can reasonably be called their best. like 'familiars' isn't my favorite but it's a perfectly reasonable pick
team burst apart btw

yeah, they're an outstandingly consistent band

Agreed, despite different sounds throughout their career, everything after they debut is very consistently great

Really liking this so far - listened to it twice today. Will probably become another 4 to me, just like all their other albums except the debut. Consistently excellent band indeed.

bumped to a 4.5
this is one of my all-time favorite bands, it just took me a 2nd and subsequent 3rd spin to really sink into the vibe

So excited for this

Just one sec is easily one of the best songs I've heard this year

Gonna jam this again it is nice but not on the same level as Burst or Attic (and lol Hospice but they don't need to rehash that again ever)

Hospice is so great but agreed it's not worth repeating. I love how each subsequent album sounds distinct from the last. If this sinks in the same way their last 3 have, then I feel safe in saying they're one of the most consistent bands around. Still need to hear their debut and attic

It’s a great album and I have the feeling it might be a grower. Nothing was less than very good and it has a wonderful hazy sound that emanates throughout. It is what is, I guess.

Can’t wait to hear this but I gotta get into Familiars first.

Familiars is the priority indeed. This is one of their least *impressive* albums, but it's like sinking into a warm, soft bed. Familiars is like exploring an abandoned castle - more intrigue, mystique.
Of course, check In the Attic of the Universe if you haven't yet. That one is like exploding into a million particles, joining the galaxy as one, and seeing all of its truths.

Familiars is an all-timer, but weirdly enough getting into this first might help you in that regard. This is a friendlier snug but ultimately is just as snug, if a bit less rewarding.
if that makes sense
