This album hit on a few notes for me. Firstly I can't think of another band that performs this style that is of comparable production quality and song writing (yes, Vildjharta included even though I like them). The album art is perfect. Got me on an emotional level due to my own personal reasons as well. It's more like a 4.5 from me but I went all in on a 5 due to the void its filling in my library.

@nash, I was directly comparing it to Abyssal so I don’t mean contrastingly, although the comparison is a contrast of the former. The part you’ve isolated is a description of Välde, being consistent start to finish.

I may not have explained it properly, I’ll give it another look after my shifts finished.

Hey Sowing,

Thanks my man - I didn’t exactly mean to be as proficient as I am so far this year, I guess I’ve just hit a groove of sorts - idk. It’s also good to not be working on menus and such for work, but I’ve just found out I get to do it all over again (yay!).

It is what it is I guess.

@Nocte yeah that’s what I picked up after re-reading. I figured it was user error but wanted to ask lol

Vildjharta (spell check) was doing this style ten times better ten years ago. Band has always been mediocre.

Great review, great album. Toss up between Dehumanize and Tide for my fav here but the thing is consistent as hell

I love the clean-ish vocals that end Spectre. More of them please!

This album sounds how the album art looks. It's the best deathcore album I've heard since Battle of Yaldabaoth. I heard a uniqueness in them a few years ago and this album feels like they're getting well into their groove with very high level song-writing and musicianship.

This sounds kinda like the new Vildhjarta album, but actually good.
