>they're widely different in the BM spectrum

Well I'm not talking about the BM vocals in particular, but the entire time of ''In Rememberance'', I got Moonspell vibes. I wouldn't say they're the same, but I do believe they send off the same impression.

Sure bro! I get it , they are somewhat related. I kinda grew up with Moonspell without enjoying them a ton, maybe I should change that, since I dig more and more the goth lately. Anyway this is all about them guitar leads...so melodic and so yummy. uuugh

frrrroooosty

can go to 3.5, I believe in this disc after the first three tunes. I probably haven't listened to anything NWOBHM blackened ever in my life lol

yeah, after the black and roll style of Kvelertak, now we have the New Wave of Black Heavy Metal it seems! :D

Always thought of these guys as gothic death'n'roll

they do have that death n roll vibe for sure. this album did not disappoint on first listen. not quite as good as Down Below yet, but I'm sure it'll grow on me.

Solid af, specially the back half imo. Down Below as some magical hooks tho.

Damn this just really hits. It’s like black metal but with a melodeath + rock n roll attitude. Got some good riffage here.

Agh that melody just after the solo. Soundgasm. Idk if its the Laphroaig 10 speaking, but damn I am really digging this album.

Hooded Menace is also an excellent 3.8 band. I wish I liked this more, but it feels too safe by their standards, without any real standout moments (Daughter of the Djinn being the exception).

First Tribulation album for me and I love it. It's getting to the point where I should just go through all of Dewinged positive reviews and listen to all of them.

Cheers, Laen. I may overhype here and there, but sometimes I hit the spot!
