Eh, they sound much more bluesy to me, even though I know a lot of guys put them under the southern rock umbrella. Lynyrd Skynyrd sound to me closer to bands like Little Feat and Molly Hatchet, but yeah not gonna argue about the bands you mentioned.

A testament to how talented these guys were, non the less



I just think they struck a chord with the audiences at the time where others didn't cause this very music sounds naturally dated even for the 1970's...
