Loving this album more and more with each listen but just wondering outside of the obvious, is anyone else is picking up a slight Michael Stripe feel on the vocals or is it just me?

It's a great grower of an album it looks like. I dunno about that vocal comparison though personally.

Its not throughout but picking up slight REM vibes on Chasing Me & In This World... maybe its no even the vocals just the feel, or maybe it just me.

I suppose I can get a bit of a vibe from that yeah, just probably wouldn't be the first name to come into my head

Nah, not the most obvious but I'm sticking with it.

Doesn’t make much sense to me that these guys are signed to Facedown.

Maybe I need to jam REM again lol

That was pretty much the place I was coming from Jesper
I've been meaning to jam some REM for a while to be fair, occasional hear a tune and enjoy it... must be getting old.

Big improvement over their debut. The guitar work is far more interesting. Good stuff.

For sure. Debut loses its luster when I revisit it. It just hit a certain nerve when I first heard it.

I'm convinced that "Chasing Me" is just the best thing

between this and new Seahaven my "melancholic, dynamic indie" itch is well and truly scratched, and I'm still on my first spin of this

The only thing holding me back from reallllly loving this is some of the lyrics. The opener (which has my favorite riff on the whole record) has some cringe-level over-reliance on rhyme.

Yeah, there are rough patches to be sure. I do think the lyrics shine in other places, however, so I wouldn't say they're the sort of thing to hold me back at least.

Can’t stop listening to this even though I have a few minor quibbles.

You too, huh? It's not top of the year, yet I'm drawn to it all the same.
