This band has been one of the best discoveries of the year for me as well. Rites at Dawn is next on the listening queue.

Very good prog

You got me intrigued. Problem is I'm barely in the mood for some contemprorary prog rock, least of all, a symphonic one.

there's far less cheese than one would expect from this sort of thing. give it a shot 'cause it's a really compelling listen

Who said cheese is bad, i actually love it!
I'm just not in the right mindset at the moment...

Contemporary 70s prog rock worship

I keep thinking of Raymond Luxury Yacht (pronounced Throat Wobbler Mangrove) of Monty Python's Flying Circus because of this being bumped. Obviously this is a very good thing.

Great review and great album.
Even thought it's one of the terms Wobbler use to describe their music, I'd personally rather beg to differ with the term "symphonic" (which can be off-putting for a good lot of people into progressive rock and rock/metal in general, myself included), in the sense that these guys don't actually use a real or synth-generated orchestra to accompany the rock instruments.
That said, some of the vocals careen indeed towards "symphonic".
