AOTY. Can't even describe in words how amazing Blueberry Memories is. I'm a bit hyperbolic at times, but I truly believe this is one of those special albums that will remain a definitive 5 for me.

thanks for all the suggestions. Curve sounds really interesting and I will definitely check them out more properly. the others (Burrrn, Difference Engine, Narrow Head) all sound quite good but don't seem to create this thick atmosphere displayed on this record and especially Say Less

ya if the thick loud production is what ur after you’re gonna have to look to more modern bands for that lol ; ( i’d say check out the new hum but none of the songs sound like say less. also possibly check out the 2019 ride album? or god forbid sway or the newest album by the extremely socially cancelled Whirr. or slow crush like Jesper said
the quality of say less that stands out most to me is the loud bendy guitars, drum loop, poppy vocal delivery, freaky freak shit overall sound , difficult to find something exactly like it in this genre which is a reason i think many ppl do like it

I think they go way too deep into alt rock territory on this one. They've been trending that way for a while, but it's really at it's peak here. I'm probably the only person that finds that to be a bad thing, but I can't help but miss the more classic shoegaze sound they had early on.
