Finally gave this a shot and its a lot more western/southern-fried sounding than I thought it would be (I don't know much about Thou or Emma Ruth). I was expecting more dark gothic vibes from the album cover, but it's good stuff regardless.

Thou are from Louisiana so yeah. None of them ever touched on gothic afaik, but you may like Emma Ruth Rundle's solo stuff in "Some Heavy Ocean" or "Marked for Death" if you are looking for smth darker.
