I liked Stage Four a lot when it came out, haven't really jammed these guys in a long while tho so I'll check this out after a discog run.

Nice review dedex :]

I am really digging this so far. It actually feels like a natural progression after stage 4. I could see it growing quite a bit.

Those steel guitars really just through me for a loop.

The Hull feature was a nice and magical moment. Enjoying the album so far.

Dig your review. Bolm is like 37 tho and ttboadh was made when he was like 25 ish so I don’t think he was writing about adolescence.

I am a 25 year old adolescent and take offense to your statement.

"I've lost more family members

Not to cancer but the GOP

What's the difference I'm not for certain

They all end up dead to me"

Got a little bit of a chuckle out of me but also it's dead right, they are all so far off the rails and if you live your lifestyle outside of a certain god-fearing white heterosexual norm, you will be treated as having wronged them.

Biggest disappointment of the year for me probably.

Stage Four is a special album to me much in the way that Jane Doe is. They both took on a deeper meaning to me when I experienced personal loss of a loved one. Lyrically, the closer on this hits me hard. Another solid album from Touche.

yeah I was thinking the same thing, also the "sadboi aesthetic" part really rubbed me the wrong way as I'd never relate this band with such bs, other than that I liked it

listened to the record last night while drinking with a friend and it sounded great, about to dive into it with headphones and sober

taxi and Cormano: you're both right, I just personally associate ...TTBoaDH with angsty adolescence - maybe because I discovered the band when I was one angsty adolescent too. I could have come up with a better word.

gonna leave the rev as it is to learn from that mistake

I actually really liked that you show Deflector some praise, that song always got so much unnecesary hate

If Deflector is here, Green should've been too (even if it's more like a conclusion to stage four).

Oh no. This doesn't bode well.
