The cover is so evil too. Wish the songs reflected it more. Certainly not boring though. I get "twisted joy" from some of these passages as well.

I’m at peace with how this album plays out now, just wish it was all on the emotional level of Persefone - that track just strikes a chord with me and I can’t really explain why.

This is probably my least favorite of hers but it's growing on me. At the very least it's an interesting atmosphere builder. I also appreciate the variety of sounds and textures she's able to get out of the instrument, even if I'm not super enamored of the composition.

Idk man this artist is just so damn boring. I think she has a ton of potential but her stuff ends up being aimless and she's quick to abandon beautiful melodies

Neek you'd have nightmares for a week if you listened to this with the lights off

I listen to this and Agnes Obel and Toby Driver on loop while I sleep.

Can confirm nightmares. Nightmares don't really bother me though.

On reflection I can completely understand why people miss her vocals, Dead Magic is hitting home now and my word her voice is impressive - kind of glad I got into this one first as I’d probably be experiencing the same thoughts.

"Persefone" and the closer are definitely my picks from this, but I think that Betatype is a slightly more moving example of this sound for anyone who likes this a lot (:

Need to check, thanks. Average for this is blasphemous, but I can see why it might be divisive for the reasons stated above.

Midsection drags a bit. But the opening three tracks and the closer are simply exquisite.

Dead Magic was my first so you get where I'm coming from Demon.

I really have a strong aversion for this type of organ. When mixed with other stuff it's alright, but in isolation like here for me it is way too much. A pity, because we know what she's capable of!

butt.
