The vocals are a lot more aggressive on their debut (he screams on several tracks), so you may enjoy it after all. But you have to deal with worse production and even pitchier vocals, so it's a tradeoff. I enjoy the singer's style for whatever reason, makes it feel even more ~authentic indie~ lol.

will certainly come back to this but this & the debut haven't done much for me so far. always fun listening to something cool and new though

I definitely think their debut is better, but this one really has the best songs of both (January and grace) so not sure how to place this yet.

Always amazing how I can love an album as much as the next person yet get completely different things out of it. I like these guys at their most experimental, whether that is a cacophony of instruments or simply unorthodox song structures.

Forever in musical terms in like 1 year. If I'm still listening to the same album that long after the release date, then you've done something right.

Sound a lot like Rural Alberta Advantage at times, which is a good thing.

Yeah I don't spin this as often as I want to but it's still perfect and incredibly moving.

While it's not the best song on the album, I still enjoy it. It's messy, noisy, and a little experimental. I can see why someone wouldn't like it though.
