Don't think these guys can write a bad album, but this isn't quite at the level of their other stuff.
Really wish they snagged Devin Townsend to produce again, you can hear his influence in both Malice and Controller and the production on this and Absent Light just lack that same depth. Branden is a monster behind the kit tho and Cascade Locks might be one of their best tracks to date

found the cleans a nice addition tbh. Sure, nothing extraordinary but the bring a nice atmospheric touch here and there. Wonder if the left over 3 tracks are ever gonna see the light of day. read that they are more atmospheric and sound a little more akin to the deftones
