There's a song that plays on the loudspeaker at the warehouse where I work that I had been trying to figure out for over a year, because the chorus of that song sounded like the chorus of Soul Control. I was finally able to Shazam it this morning at the end of my shift because it was playing after all the machinery had shut down. The song is Diamonds, by Echosmith All the vocalist sings is "la la la etc." on Diamonds, but the melody and rhythm are very similar to Soul Control's. I'm so glad I was finally able to figure it out; it had been bugging me for so long.

This album is what I wanted out of Future Nostalgia. A more sophisti, posh, pop. Here, the music feels sophisticated and richer. A world class pop album.
In Future Nostalgia, it feels somewhat like a masses oriented bland pop-product - not that it's bad, it's not. It's just that it feels a lot more plastic, a lot more like fast food, a overhyped one, like Five Guys.

future nostalgia still bangin tho, i feel like if im at a club id prefer dua lipa to jessie, just cause i find this one requires more careful listening. FN is just so danceable and fun, they accomplish different things

Nahhhh its so much fun. Not everything has to be groundbreaking to be good, its just an addictive pop record. It came out almost 3 years ago now and i still consistently hear like 5 of those tracks all over the place, got staying power

Only Dua Lipa songs I know are Levitating, and that one that got mashed up with the BBC countdown

Sounds like I need to get into Dua Lipa. At least Future Nostalgia. Been out of the pop loop for a while. While I think a lot of it is boring, I don't want to miss the good shit.

Only heard FN from DL but I did like that quite a bit

Just checked Pearls for the first time and I’m kind disappointed, it’s not bad but it felt super cookie cutter to me, hopefully it will grow when heard in context
