Same Walrus, start to finish all of their albums are consistently awesome apart from Pacific Myth which just didn’t click with me, sure there are highlights and less good tracks on all their albums but there’s never a dip in quality over a run of songs on any album.

both dueling cavalier and gift horse own and totally shoulda been here. dueling cavalier woulda been its best song
weirdly was never that into the opening duo here but its all dope outside of that (granted i havent heard this in a whiiiiiile)

Long time lurker, first time poster. I think that The Canary is one of the weaker songs for sure, but I have to disagree with onion on The Migrant Mother. I think as a thematic opening to the album it works pretty well with the opening orchestration and the thematic material setting the stage for the rest of the album.
But yeah it's all dope outside of The Canary for me.

I agree The Canary is the weakest song on the album (but still not bad). Migrant Mother is great though.
I also think the 2 b-sides would be 2 of the best songs if they were included.

think they definitely could have found a way to slip at least The Duelling Cavalier onto the album if they wanted to
think they should have, it 100% wouldn't be the weakest track on here
not quite as high on Gift Horse but it's still very solid itself
