This album is quite amazing, gonna have to see if it bumps to a 5 (which is just a matter of time now)

Thanks Lucman! That's incredibly nice and also untrue! (also, those are great atmospheric picks - two of my favorites). Glad to see continued consistency with people enjoying this - I had a feeling about it being something special and those suspicions are starting to be confirmed. This is probably in my #1 spot for 2020 if the year ended today. Not certain I have the emotional attachment to it for it to maintain a vice grip on that spot, but it'll be top 3-5 no matter what I imagine.

I just wish it was longer you know? Kind of stops when I feel it could do with another 2 tracks

Also, Hold On Tight is basically what the kind of sound Ulver try to achieve but doesn't fall short, unlike Ulver

I could see that comparison. I actually like how short the album is though. Maybe it could have gone on 2 additional tracks, but what if they sucked? I'm glad he kept it trimmed down to only the very best. I can spin all 8 of these songs at any time and love the entire experience.

Freed From Desire is prob my favourite track on this lol

Absolute quality cover version, the mad preacher man vox are perfect - its like the alt version that David Byrne never got too, and the music treatment reminds me of Darkside a bit

This shit is so killer. Reminds me a lot of 80’s pop and I LOVE the 80’s.

This can't be a passive listen for me. Like if I'm not paying attention it doesn't grip me, but I looooove it when I'm actively listening

I get that. If I find it drifting by because I'm busy with other tasks I literally have to start the album over and focus because *I can't miss anything*

Hell yes. I was hoping the hype train hadn't died yet. This one has the feel of an album that will end the year with a great average but a low number of votes and miss everyone's year end list. I'm still hoping it catches fire. It deserves all the attention it can get - resting pretty comfortably in my AOTY slot at this point.
