yeah it's straggling somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4 right now. Kora is a fantastic lil track

I saw them live from fanfares (before they were famous), and I liked them a lot. v2.0 was very well received in the UK and I was very happy when they got signed by blue note, I was super, super into Man Made Object, I really liked the drums. still do. they were touring a lot, during that time, my way of getting together with my friends was to take them to a GGP show.


But ever since a humdrum star made me feel mediocre, I suddenly feel like they've lost that unique aura they once had. I don't think this album has the shine of a man made object either.

Smarra is my favorite GGP track.

Yo, that's basically how I feel too. Love the drums on MMO but when i saw them live and saw how the double bass is the centrepiece, I think their sound finally made sense, but their recent stuff has sounded dull.

This is ok though, worth a listen

This one is not on par with either of those, but it sure is better than Humdrum Star

This is so much worse than Humdrum Star. it's like someone sucked all the emotion out of that record

imo Man Made Object is their best... it's less immediate but a bit richer and more refined than v.20
