""Don’t Waste Your Anger..." makes my head hurt a bit" -- Yeah, there are too many clauses... I'll see if I can fix it up a bit; I wanted it to feel overwhelming, but even I'm struggling to read it now and I wrote the damn thing, haha. Thanks for looking out.

And for reading, let know what you think if you relisten.

Is it madness or badness to say the first three might be the weakest stretch here?

I'd go with that too, actually. I still Dream About you, Losing it and Big Smoke are my least favs

Yeah, me too. For me, though, I think it's partly cause Big Smoke and Dream were singles. They did the same thing with the last album, making the two big singles the second and third tracks. Dirty Water onward is definitely where the magic happens, though I do love God is Dead.

I loooove Losing It

something about Wil’s voice in that track really hits the spot along with the lyrics. Massive grower and I like it as much as Heaven Eleven. Profiteering is also fun as hell

There’s really not a bad track here and I’m close to just slapping a 5 on this..

Well written, really agree with the sentiments here.

I saw the Smithies just before the lock down, and they played Profiteering, stating it was a new tune.

Wil yelled the opening lyrics, "everything is fucked, everything is fine..." and he paused, as if waiting for the crowd response to his lyrical prose.

Initially everyone giggled, before a tidal wave of roaring support engulfed the room... it felt like a welcome back to the a band that was in 12 mnts of obscurity.

Throw Me In The River is the last album I heard by these guys, should I listen to MSOYTYAOM before this?

You can’t tell me I’m not a Smith Street fanboy. I went into this wanting to like it. And yes you should, because it’s better.

and the since-reversed blacklisting of the band’s music from the local radio station that helped popularise them

...and they currently find themselves as the feature album on said radio station for the week.

Oh man, I didn't even notice, nice.

"Dirty water it's kinda hypnotic."

Song felt jarring on first listen, but now, 100 per cent agree. Top three for me. Production is fabulous.

I wonder why they choose to do that drowned out extended outro on the closer? Maybe it'll connect to the next album somehow.
