Project, that's an excellent summation.

Talked to these dudes, and they said they'd be down for a possible interview. You guys up to read that? Hoping my job allows it if so. We are escalating quickly there (hospital), shit may be rough for me for a bit.

If you're down, comment some questions you'd like for me to ask if I can get one together. The guys also said they love our comment thread so far lol.

I'd have to give it some thought, especially since I've only just found them and their career has evidently been a long one. But I'd for sure read it!

Yeah that's fine! Me too actually. Not sure on how id go about formatting it with them, but I imagine they have a bit of spare time given current things. I might just message them a question at a time and build more questions in response to however they answer.

Probably a label thing, or they consider them not up to par maybe. As I've listened to album onto the next, the dudes definitely get better as songwriters imo

This is really interesting stuff. Sounds like a combo of Profane and Symbyosis, which means it's pretty fantastic.

Check out "On the Wings of Phoenix". Riffs hard. Like this!

would this be considered swancore? the lyrics are obv reminiscent, but not as sure about the playstyle in genreform.

I would definitely like to hear more about their influences. Must say that I don't pick up on Persefone as much, or at least Spiritual Migration-era material. More so Core or Truth.

Glad you checked it out and liked it Dmax! Some truly kick ass inventive riffs. Hidden gem.

I am so confused about this album. Sometimes it sounds kinda wanky and repetitive, with generic riffs and irritating vocals. Other times the vocals sound amazing and this thing is firing on all cylinders and is pretty emotional. Need more listens.

Once the melodies and song structures sink in, you get a cohesive body here. I'm of the opinion they would do well with a higher-budget production job for the issues you mentioned.

Never been a fan of 'wank' so I definitely dispute that. There's a lot more cohesion here than I believe you give credit for.

I guess I mean more the guitar tone, and how many notes they shove into certain sections that don't really seem like they need to be there/serve a purpose.

3 listens and it's really enjoyable in some stretches but totally forgettable in others.

Speaking of guitar tone though, the acoustic tone is generally pretty great.
