the last two are overrated as fuck

at least if youd gone for the middle chunk of leprosy -> itp i'd have given you more credence

Nah, they're without a doubt the best ones, especially if you're a techy boi. I was going to mention leprosy, but I just left it out for some reason.

if you're a techy boi then you'd like itp the most, as symbolic and tsop barely tech at all lmao

Nah man, Symbolic and especially The Sound... are Death's most instrumentally and compositionally ostentatious records.

P.S. Honestly, an even more outta field pick would have been Ad Nauseam's, nihil quam vacuitas ordinatum est

Ulcerate is one of my favorite bands but I don't think they've made anything as good as CtaWB or HiA

Agree to disagree. Also, I've always found Unholy Cult to be better than HiA. This is also making me realise I have to listen to Immolation again.

@parksungjoon, I beg to differ, especially the lead-guitar work and the drumming. I Recognize that tracks like The Philosopher are tech asf, but overall, I think those last two records are both superior and far more tech.

Can we please get an Immo & Ulcerate tour? That shit would crush planets.

@parkjung I love every single band you've mentioned. Gorguts is one of my favourites of all time, Atheist is definitely top tier tech/fusion metal. Cynic I would probably consider more of a progressive-metal band with strong elements of fusion and death-metal, instead of a straight dm outift. Demilich is amazing as well. But Death remains a masterful group to me, even considering I discovered Ulcerate, Cynic and Gorguts first, before ever listening to them.
