I want to say I had a friend's birthday party in video conference (with old pals)...its def not the same...but we were about 7 dudes drinking whatever we have in our houses and saying shit lolol inevitably a friend got too drunk and a tad unpleasant but comic at the same time...he was clearly really messed up with all this and became "the bringer of the Apocalypse".



Felt good...

I used to Skype a lot back when Skype was a thing. I'm quite certain no one uses that anymore.

I despise them, as with general audio calling. I was raised in some weird archaic old-school sense that if you can't stand in front of someone, shake their hand or see their reaction; Everyone is a liar and a cheat... which makes me a huge type of hypocrite since forum comments and messenger is completely fine...

Yeah I mean, I use Whatsapp...I never felt very comfortable with video calls though...but these tough days I kinda prefer to see people's faces (family&friends)

I also had a drinking video conference with pals last week! I guess I have no problem with video calls because it was extremely funny.

That's what I'm saying brother dede...we had a huge amount fun getting drunk and wearing all kinds of hats, sunglasses (or Natalie Portman's pink wig...lol)...something that I would never go along before all this lock up.

Definitely straying, but it probably comes as no surprise to people who know me from when I was on here before; my mental health has always had a massive impact on what I sought to do with my life - between that, relationship problems, constantly moving every 6-12 months, I just fell out of love with the things I did to keep my mind from straying (like writing or working on my own music) which created a bigger cycle.



So I'm very much aware of my shortcomings when it comes to committing to being back, or talking to people about my concerns or theirs because one of my biggest barriers is the fear of failure when I can't do something I wanted to or do something that I've agreed to with a friend. I'm loathe to use the term 'emotional labour' because it shouldn't be a chore to care for others, I'm just still so convinced I'm going to let people down that I'm cautious of how much of myself that I offer.

and to that point we need to commit to each other, not personally - but enough to fit within our own limits. Whether that being a matter of sharing our own feelings on particular matters or just asking for a no judgement listen. It's a wide topic; but not a completely helpless one.
