Anybody heard the old demo for Dead? It's like industrial deathrock, I crave more stuff like that from these guys but I know it won't come.

I was a fan of "Under Your Spell", but this is a big step up from that on just about every level. Every song worked for me, and while it's relatively short, that just meant that I was able to give it a few listens in a row. Definitely worth the wait!

I like how that quote was from the end of your review, so you know they read the whole thing. =)

Really cool album art. Is there a reason all their covers have a purple tinge?

There's a complex theme around why they stick with purple. To them it sort of represents a combo of fantasy and melancholy, which is often affiliated with their music and lyrics in a way.

I never knew the reason behind the purple. Makes sense, though. All their album covers do kind of have that blend of fantasy and melancholy.

They addressed the purple theme in one of their interviews

While studying fine arts, the group learned about color theory and chose the color violet to represent the band's themes.[29][30] Rainbow said in an early interview: "Violet is the color of the tragic comedy. We associate it with fantasy and melancholy. These themes make up much of the band's lyrical inspiration. The color also mirrors our sound dynamic. Our music mixes contrasting elements. In turn, violet is the sum of two contrasting colors: Red and Blue."

I completely get that Dewi, got the same thing going on here. Absolutely loving the atmosphere of these guys. Listened to Pins & Needles and Walking With Strangers over the weekend. Enjoyed both of them, but too early to tell which one of the three I like best yet.

For me, Pins & Needles is where it's at. Every album has at least one or two songs that I love, but Pins & Needles is the album...

WWS is #1 for me. The Looking Glass -> Science -> Remember Me -> To Die For stretch of that album is hard to beat

That one has always kind of faded into the background for me. I never find myself listening to it.
