this album manages to be extreme but retains the rawness which was lost on the next 2 records, most records inspired by this and darkness descends were made when the production became cleaner, this is unique in the fact its fast as fuck AND raw as fuck

but yea my fav is extreme aggression

oath i jammed EA for the first time today and it was defs better than this or TC. THis is great for sure, featuring smashing riffs and not-that-tight instrumentation that contribute to the overall raw sound, it just doesnt have much standout songwriting or standout riffs

"Imagine this.

It's 1986, you're somewhere in a bar, listening to Reign in Blood/Master of Puppets/Peace Sells/etc...

While you're headbanging to Angel of Death/playing air guitar while listening to Peace Sells some German dude comes up and turns it off.

He puts on another record. You're willing to give this a chance, but you only hear some weird choir like shit. You, being pissed of at this dude are heading over to him to tell him to fuck off and put Reign in Blood back on when suddenly, BAM.

RIPPING CORPSE ATTACK

The utter heaviness of this track knocked you against a wall, and now you're writhing in pain. Halfway Death Is Your Saviour you somewhat recover manage to get back up and stumble back to your seat. But two minutes later when the title track starts, without having any control over it whatsoever, you start headbanging like a maniac.

For the remaining thirty minutes or so you punish your neck muscles relentlessly. You don't want to but you can't stop. You ask the German while panicking 'WHAT THE FUCK DUDE? WHAT IS THIS? MAKE IT STOP!' Amused by your pathetic weakness the German does nothing but laugh maniacally at your despair. During the last 5 seconds of the album you feel your head tearing from your neck and just as Mille says 'guillotine' for the last time your head flies through the room, smiling because this album IS SO FUCKING AMAZING."

Best RYM review ever!
