Don't mind the opener, I like the synths in that track a lot. But I agree with Glimmer and the closer

I can't spin the closer casually, but it's been hitting me recently

I think the ending to Breathe Deeper is my favorite piece of music ever recorded

This album very weirdly reminds me of getting extremely sick in February with some nasty flu-like virus (probably wasn't corona, didn't have shortness of breath), but I was feverish and disoriented for like 2.5 weeks. I spun this whenever I'd feel up to it or while driving to the pharmacy and now, to me, this has the aura of some sick (literally) psychedelic dance-pop album. I wasn't really up to downloading new music so I pretty much listened to this exclusively and it really enhanced my relationship with the album in a way that didn't happen often anymore.

Dude everyone I know was sick in January/February with mysterious illnesses. I was so fucking sick with the worst brochitis of my life, and felt like I had a damn softball in my chest, never experienced that before in my life.

Definitely agree that the opener is the most standout thing here

“So basically every modern pop album”
Maybe, but I feel the reason this doesn’t hit the spot as a pop album is a lack of charisma, which i wouldn’t say is true of the genre in general.
Same could be said of currents I guess, but that album has more going for it in the music department.

Oh my god I suffered from the same shit. This year's been garbage.

Honestly this thing keeps growing on me. It's really come into its own during Summer. Picked up a physical copy.
