The lack of love for ATF around these parts is astonishing...I'm glad the AVGS come to sense on that one tho

"3 is too low for such an unique piece though"
I probably should bump it up to a 3.5. It's underrated massively by the fanbase, but not all of it has aged well.

I think if you take 7 words...and the overused Bored...and maybe Engine #9 you see how the album is special imo.
Those tracks are awesome for me personally, but I think they can blur the overall opinion on the album, cause they were labeled as Nu-Metal before there's one...
One Weak, Nosebleed, Lifter, Root simply have some of the best Chino's performances ever, and they have this punk vibe over them that everyone kind of dismisses, unfairly. Birthmark is another intense song. Fireal and Fist are very legit post...but okay...you guys do you

Fist and Fireal are great. The rest is rather underdeveloped, and it doesn't help that the guitar sound is so incredibly thin

the record got plenty of love before but it def didn’t age as well as everything else, production, songwriting ever since had been improved upon. the reggae influence rules but it’s still among their weakest and doesn’t warrant more love than it had been given.

Nah i agree, even Chino's inflections sound vaguely reggae inspired

you can hear it on one weak, root, on some drum parts and grooves

I mean yeah kinda...but even those inflections are less obvious on Adrenaline, perhaps on the rapping parts of 7 words and Minus BLind. I think is a stretch obs, but no music expert here X) be well
maybe we speak the same when I mention the punk feel and you reggae...

wasn’t saying that was the main influence. they mixed it all hence why they were labeled nu metal once before.
