@Pikazilla agreed, it just edges this. That being said this record is still nothing to scoff at.

But also, the reviews comments about modern metal lacking decent dynamics and being bereft of attractive melodies and interesting song writing boggles my mind. What sort of metal have you been listening to Johnny (besides Tool, CB and Numenorean)?

I loved Derivae, it’s one of my all time favorites. The single I heard from this wasn’t that good, so hope the rest is better.

And yeah it’s true, Numenorean does suck balls

Itwasthatwas, based on your avatar I'd imagine you should dig this, it's got some heavy Gorguts moments, mixed with some post-metal vibes, but it is nicely balanced. Italian sounds a little weird to my ears in heavy music, but what can you do?

Definitely gonna check it out ASAP
