this is good album, and definitely has some killer tracks, but it is nowhere near as good as Tool's later stuff, and i cant listen to this album all the way thru...
But regardless, Tool is genius in my eyes, lyrically and musically.

This is my favorite Tool album. It has the most energy. And Sober is their best song.

This album doesn't compare to Aenema or Lateralus, but viewed singly, it's still a solid album. This album represents an important epoch in the development of Tool; bridging the gap from unbridled energy and anger to dense, heady opuses. Some of Tool's best singles came from this album ("Sober" and "Prison Sex") which I think makes it the best starting point for someone who wants to get into Tool.

When I first heard this album as a kid, I wasn't satisfied. Now that I have matured, this album sounds much more better than it did through my adolescent ears.

I don't understand why people prefer 10,000 Days to this. If you look at this album it has no filler tracks and works as a complete album, while 10,000 Days is like half filler. There are some great songs on here as well. There's such a raw feel to this album.

Do you guys think that it is a sexual reference by making Disgustipated track "69"?

This is my favorite Tool album, but this doesn't mean I think this is their best. I leave that honor to Aenima. Undertow is awesome because it is ridiculously aggressive, heavy, smart, brutal and very emotional. While the production isn't as great as Lateralus or 10,000 Days, it is still very well done. Everything is heard, including bass and the drums sound excellent(as always). Takes a few listens to get a grasp on, but in the end, it's definitely worth it.

Undertow is raw, heavy, and original.

This album never gets old and spits out some of Tool's best songs.

Favourite Tool album right here.

I find this so much better than Aenima. Sober is amazing, one of my favourite songs.

I like D'amour as a bassist more than Justin Chancellor. :[
