I was underwhelmed with everything we forget and I do wish that the vocals were a bit above the mix for Destinos like the demo version but damn this thing is a great maturation for HANL. I was glad that most of the tracks sound very well produced and the lofi tendencies are mixed in but not overbearingly

had a review planned but tbh it would echo similar points. like, i'd interpret certain aspects differently, as wines and i are indeed not clones, but yeah. idk. i'm glad they aren't trying to make DC 2.0 or TUW 2.0 but it's lacking a bit of a certain something-something and then some. wish they would have went full-on noisy post-punk, or the opposite Black Wing-esque direction fused with long-form stuff akin to earlier material (like Destinos).
this is like two separate halves of different unfinished albums imo. first one is more centric to their incumbent live band fare, and the second half is more wandering and generally Dan&Tim oriented, i think.

I dug the 'meaty' songs immediately during my first listen. The more ambient tracks have their place.. they'll probably have more impact after a few more spins and I sit on the album longer.
It's likely that I'm simply dumb, but I found your writing style tediously verbose and I skipped the review after the first 3 sentences.
