i'm don't think i agree - it's like kodama meets the debut for me. it's like he took the vibes from the debut and multiplied the clarity by 10 with a massive whack of japanese influences.
which of course it means it rules.
bold move leaving the best two songs unreleased too - amethyste and l'enfant de la lune are fucking stunning.

i think the only flaw is the quiet songs - i don't think they were necessary and didn't add a whole lot to the album for me. all the other songs are fantastic though.

couldn't disagree more, kodama is alcest's best work front to back. couldn't love that album more if i tried.
i do like this one but it lacks something. it has fantastic moments but as a whole package it's a bit underwhelming and i don't revisit it much - it's realistically more like a 3 for me.
