I was just a musician in Peste Noire, most of the time session musician, I never took part of the lyrics or philisophy of the band. At the "Aryan Supremacy" period I was 15 years old and I didn't think about the consequence of recording some music with that band, it always was just musical participation for me. Alcest has NOTHING to do with any hate-based philosophy like racism and as a person I am absolutely NOT into nazism, racism and such ideologies."

Yes he has denied it and he has said he was a session drummer for the band but he was with them for 10 years, i like his music but the history is sketchy. Similar to Drudkh

I wouldn't worry about it at all. If you read up on Peste, Famine says he wrote everything and at one point specifically discredited any input from Neige, which says enough for me about their relationship and his standing as someone that was brought in when needed.

His denial and, more importantly, his explanation are plenty to clear him imo.

The name Niege is pretty close to a certain offensive slur. That probably tells you something.

Protections main riff sounds like baby's first riff to me.

Protection riff makes my nipples twirl and howl.

Great album, like it could be on my top 3 for the band after some more listens.
