Ooo, this sounds interesting. Really breezy read, nice work dude.

Appreciate it Blush! I tried to keep your analysis comment on one of my other reviews in mind while writing this (although that was a little more difficult on an album that is fairly straightforward)

Might have to bump this back up. I made the mistake of overplaying the singles but this whole thing just rips front to back

Never heard of these guys somehow. Not sure how I feel about it. The singer sounds like an unholy combination of Weird Al and Deryck Whibley that distracts from the solid musicianship supporting him.

Anthony Raneri sounds nothing like either of those artists, haha

I still haven't listened to this besides the singles.
Dammit, self!

Bury Me, in particular, he gives off massive Weird Al vibes to me. If you had told me it was Weird Al, I probably would have believed you. I dunno.
"B-B-Bury Me in the back yard" Weird Al is singing those words in my head.

Well thanks, now I’m gonna think of Weird Al every time I hear that line lol
He is an eccentric vocalist, but that’s a big part of what I love about him. The instrumentation is finally on par with his performance here

Lol sorry to ruin that for you!
As I approach the end of the album, his voice seems inspired by rockabilly singers, a throwback contained in modern sensibilities. It's unique for sure. As far as rock and roll albums go, this one is pretty good. It might be a case of the uniqueness and my newness to it that has me weirded out. I think I'm having the same initial reaction people usually have towards Michael Booher of Zykos.
...
I finished the album while I was typing this, and I think Numb and White Flag are my favorites after one go. I'll give it another few listens before I rate it, but I think I'll end up at a 3.5 or 4.

Bayside songs everyone in this thread should listen to immediately if you're not familiar

T/T might straight up be their best song

I don't even think it's the best on this album but I love all the attention the band is getting right now on this site

This is like the perfect album to run to

I have to warm up to this a bit. Some of the Riffs (maybe the Prayers riff?) have too much a hard rock sound for my liking. Like a Breaking Benjamin or dare I say, a heavy Nickelback riff.

I'm just gonna post my sound off for this album here, because it still applies:
"The pop punk genre as a whole has been KILLING it this year. There's this, PUP with Morbid Stuff, Steady Glow by In Her Own Words, plus Kayak Jones' new album, like holy crap dude"

With Bayside, I've reviewed 3 out of the 4 of those. I'm not sure how to feel about that lol
And I guess I have my music set for my next two runs!
