"Idk, the excuses DsO offered were super nonsensical. People don’t tend to collaborate with people with extreme political differences, certainly not nazis. At best they’re ok with working with a nazi, at worst they are nazis. Both are bad."

I mean honestly they might not tend to but I still think it's unfair to automatically jump to conclusion that they're fully ok with the prospect of nazism.

"I mean honestly they might not tend to but I still think it's unfair to automatically jump to conclusion that they're fully ok with the prospect of nazism."
Not sure it is since I was being really generous when I said "tends to". People overwhelmingly don't work or interact with people they have dramatic differences in political beliefs with. This isn't a right leaning libertarian being pals with a semi-progressive liberal. It's people of ambiguous belief working with a literal neo-nazi. Nazism is not a valid political belief, it's extremism. Being able to work with a nazi is very sketchy in any case.
But beyond mere association they've sad a couple of things in interviews (or I guess just that one recent interview) that sets off alarm bells and I think I've seen breakdowns that demonstrate that some of the imagery used in their last album is associated with nazism or some hyper traditionalist sects or something. Not 100 percent on that.

Their last album has absolutely nothing to do with that if you read and try to comprehend the very broken-English lyrics. Anything can be spun and manipulated to fit an agenda.

I honestly don't know what you're referencing. I am not advocating any sort of close-minded mentalities, but digging deep for evidence to match a motive seems irrational to me. I am versed in this band's history and affiliations as everyone should be, but for me this project at this point in time does not represent the deplorable views of certain members' questionable past.

people are still arguing about whether this band has anything to do w/nsbm while their singer literally has an album called Judenfrei with song titles like "Jerusalem in Flames" lmao

it's not about ***the project*** it's the people that make up the project. supporting mgla supports people who support nazi causes. it's really not that hard?
and before the shitstorm starts -- i listen to a lot of "problematic" artists but a)i admit they are problematic b)i don't financially support them and c)i don't go out of my way to publicly praise them. not saying everyone has to or should do it that way, but it's not like anyone here is saying don't listen to mgla
