From what I have read and heard, the Exhorder rip off statements are nonsense.

Phil was a huge fan and was influenced by them. But Exhorder were more of a basic thrash band than Pantera.



I find the amount of times people bring up Exhorder baffling when Dimebag mentioned Helmet as their influence.

Find me another band who had had an album (this album) which topped the mainstream charts whilst containing a death metal track (slaughtered)

Or a band that got heavier and less accessible when they found success
