This is exactly what I thought would happen, no one actually expected this to stay at the average it had, right...? But I think the accurate averages should be Reclaimer 4.0 and this 3.9, because Reclaimer is definitely better than this imo

I can se where you're coming from with the review and it's well written though i definetly liked it a lot more than you did. Hell i'll probably be blasting this for a good while. I think deathcore has definetly been given a lot more respect in the past few years thanks to this band and a few other like Lorna Shore, Signs of the swarm and Angelmaker.

Although I consider this to be a 3.8 I have to say it was fun watching this be over 4.3 for a while with 180+ votes.

Whenever an album gets big, it gets exposed to a greater audience, including people who may not even be involved in the scene the album originated from. Even then I imagine there are deathcore fans that don't like this, just as much as there are death metal and melo-death fans that don't like it. Sure, some are probably rating out of malice, but I hope we don't go lumping everyone together again in a Northlane 2.0 scenario.

well duh, guitarists are the ones writing the songs, theyre pretty much the only ones who can save a deathcore album from being by-the-numbers. you could have a great drummer, a great vocalist, a great bassist (lol), but if you dont have good songwriters, your music is still going to be shit.
