I saw it somewhere as an upcoming release when I was putting together my weekly releases blog post. Can't remember exactly where because I pull from a lot of sites.

Those first two songs feel so much like Jimmy Eat World and Brand New, respectively. Left Out has that aching to and fro "Hear You Me" kind of sway, and can't you practically hear Jesse singing the chorus to Dearest; "I'm a ghost who is bound to this town." Just feels like something he'd write and it's sung with a similar delivery IMO.

Dearest & Boys and Girls are by far my faves. I checked out the FB page and saw they were influenced by The singer of The Hotelier and Gerard Way and I thought of both those guys while listening. Dearest sounds very Jesse Lacey to me.
Really happy you found this. Did you see they shared your review on their FB page, I think you made someones day (week, month)?

I really hope he takes the positive and negative criticism to heart – and takes the time to do something even better!

They released demos for the next album (fox) already on their instagram ... there is so much potential here. Needs to calm down, reign in and really refine some of these!

^^this. If he spent a year or two with his nose to the grindstone, only selected the best 10-12 tracks, and produced them to the best of his ability, he'd likely gain widespread exposure

I was messaging him on instagram to give some praise to the new demos and was told that hes hoping to drop another new album by January.
I'm with you... I hope next year he takes 10-12 of his best tracks from his many releases and really refines them.

Jesus ... so a new song was released on spotify called 'Happy Man' and it sounds like it could be incredible ... but the production and mixing is WAY off and needs a lot of work.
This song sounds soooooo promising and its frustrating to hear it in the state it was released.

did you hear the latest WAOHO record? I think you'd like it at least a bit more than this one, this one sounds very amateur in comparison

I actually preferred this one a bit more, but have only listened a couple times to the new one. This one seemed a bit more ambitious to me and the recording quality issues continuing again with another super quick release I found difficult to continue swallowing.

So there are like three full-lengths after this. I just got done listening to "Misanthrope", which was a bunch of solid fuzzed-out rockers. I like this more. The 9-minute quiet/loud closer may be better than anything here though.

I have been actually closely following this kid. I bought a copy of misanthrope to try and support a bit. I feel like they could make something big with some direction and proper studio time.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. A proper producer to reign in some ideas a bit and flesh out an overall package would make this kid something special
