If anything this has been a good way to wean me back to listening to songs I haven’t really been able to listen to since last year

Poke is such an emotional knee-capping.

I’m glad the interludes also got covered, the Bright Pink Bookmark one is really nice

Being the source material is one of the hardest 5s of all time, and most of the covers are competent, 4 seems about right.

Great write up, I definitely see this as a celebration of Scott and his talent. It’s the not the same without his voice though...

Interestingly, Grant has been quoted this week saying there will be some new Frightened Rabbit material released at some point. He’s said there’s more than an album’s worth of material, with some vocals recorded, and that the band will get together when they’re ready to work on refining them.

I have to say, the way Grant has dealt with the last year has been remarkable, given that his personal and professional lives were so entwined.

As much as it still hurts now, Scott’s songs will still be played and shared, and I can’t wait to introduce them to my boys when they grow up

This is pretty great. Julien’s Modern Leper and Daughter’s Poke are fucking gorgeous.

Baker's cover is pretty slick—even coming from someone that doesn't enjoy her work a lot.

The ironic thing is that youre trying to talk to me like im a child, and yet you bringing your bullshit into a thread for a cover album celebrating the life of a dead musician makes you look like a tactless 12 year old. Go grab another Mountain Dew and ask your mom if you can stay up late so you can keep playing Fortnite.

anyways, a lot of these covers are growing on me. i was not feeling this at all at first, but im getting into it now. i actually like Josh Ritter's cover better than i like the original (Old Old Fashioned is easily my least favorite song on TMOF though).

I’ll definitely be checking this out after I go through their discog soon. Love MO’s My Backwards Walk cover, but I’m obsessed with MO. Checked out the original version though and it’s just as good.

'What’s wonderful about Tiny Changes: A Celebration of Frightened Rabbit’s ‘The Midnight Organ Fight’ is that it feels less like a funeral and more like a celebration of life.'

Damn bro. Exquisite review.
