But it's so sing along-able and fun. It's corny as hell but I can't help it. I love their previous as well and it also has a few monster bangers but this one is front to back.

everyday ghosts chorus reminds me of Linkin Park, they had this one song (cant remember name now) that had super similar mood.
It's great, especially verses

Chromology is so good, got to see them play it live and they KILLED IT. As for the hooks, I like Swarm for the hook a lot. I still put "Maps" album very slightly above this though.

perhaps because the sound was fucked up this one time? lul

Yeah I saw them in a small art studio/venue with ~150 people and they were great, interacted with the crowd and jammed out. Their drummer was in the crowd cheering and supporting the opening acts (The Tea Club, Bent Knee)
Also bands/artists complaining about the sound isn't necessarily the band's fault. Sometimes you just work with shitty venue techs who refuse to listen or even monitor levels.

I've played the venue before. The sound guy is pretty cool. Maybe it was an off night for him who knows.

Okey I've got no idea why is this their lowest rated avg album. It's the best. Don't get me wrong, I totally love previous ones but here it's the perfect blend of jazz+rock while also maintaining the most musical maturity and playing around with melodies. It's just perfect. Might be my fav album of the decade to be honest

This is my favorite Thank You Scientist album too. For a double album it doesnt let up for a second. Terraformer is so killer

Yep, their first 2 albums I would consider some of my favorites of the decade, but this is on a whole new level for me. Pretty handily my favorite of theirs and I feel comfortable calling it one of my all time favorites at this point.
