Agreed, and I still enjoy listening to Transilvanian Hunger, but this album is too much. I tried listening to it in my car today and I had to change because it was physically painful.

I stopped listening after 3 songs. One of those albums where the production really does screwball it.

So you still made it through whole Seasons? good job. Impossible for me to listen to that cancerous snare for 4 1/2 minutes

I'll have to try again. Quite the bummer, because the music itself sounded pretty sweet. I can't figure why they chose to do this.

I didn't particularly have that much of an issue production wise with Purple, just noticed it. But the production and mix here are just making it real hard for me to listen to this.

Man this is such a task to listen to. I'm sure I can get used to it, but at this point I can only assume they just want people to go their live shows to listen to their music.

Edit: I'd Do Anything kinda sucks.

I wasn't really giddy listening to it a second time through.

Lordy, been a while since I checked in. This album is incredible and worth a listen. Every actual song is better than Purple, and more adventurous. Production be damned, this is just too damned good imo

Nah I actually enjoy Y&G quite bit. Foolsong and Eula are gorgeous songs. I'd Do Anything is just shitty.

And I was wrong. I was in physical pain after hearing this. No joke. What were they thinking?

I don't like Green but Yellow is my favorite Baroness record. Band is legendary and I'm probably their worst fanboy on this website. 2.5ing this record has been painful.

I am genuinely wondering whether people's opinions on the album would change if it had better production.

Mine would. With a better production this would be a 3.5 for me.

Well, this album got the most backlash for production, so hopefully, the band will change their mind and actually do something about it on their next record.

I actually love their new lady guitarist, she knows her stuff for sure.
