That is crazy. 'Officially' I'm a millennial as I was born in '87 (although not sure where the cut-off is) but given my general exasperation at the attitude of modern 'youngsters' I cannot possibly be one. Then again I was one of those 'old man in a young person's body' types anyway and didn't have the sort of upbringing that would lead to entitlement. The wife was born in '79 though, so she's definitely 'safe'.

As one of the most competitive people I've ever met it was classic hearing her say through gritted teeth 'for the last few years on sports day we now give out medals for participation rather than winning' - you can't not give kids a pat on the back just for turning up now or they'll just reject you or fall apart emotionally. Suicide rates among millenials are through the roof apparently - you can't push them, it is like a form of cruelty and dangerous to their stability. This stuff is official - at least it is in the UK.

It’s frightening stuff Doof. Mental health, nihilism and a complete lack of standards will sky rocket.

All part of the plan infantilise, nullify and ultimately nanny the population into a horde of drones who are told what to say, think, believe and ultimately do as they are told without question.

It’s madness to think I came home with a bruised arm when I was given a clout by a teacher in ‘91. It was bad then but a line drawn under it in about 30mins and everyone moved on. Now it’d be national news.

I had no idea people were trained on all this...but then I've avoided going into management myself as I consider that a ball ache. I guess this training is everywhere.

I wonder what my grandad would think about it all. Born in a Birmingham workhouse, fought in the war where he was bayoneted by a German who he shot and killed.

A warm, loving giant of a man who took absolutely no shite whatsoever.

Just a fact though Sint:

Teachers are now trained to relate to millennial colleagues and how to deal with the Gen Z/iGen kids coming through now based on what people have learned over the last 15 years bringing millennial students through the system.

I was surprised gotta say, but it is what it is - it's happening at a school near you.

Anyway, gave this album a second go in full and I still mostly like the singles I already knew. Will try again later and might duck it to a 3.5.

cry more pussies

it was your shitty generation of shitty parents that caused any grievance you have

mental health is a serious issue and your toxic fucking generation spreads horrible horseshit about manning up or whatever and that you can't have genuine emotions or you're weak, you are the ones that make it worse

basically just genocide anyone over the age of 30 at this point

Our parents worked their bollocks off, were given nothing and tried to provide everything all the while under the shadow of their parents who fought in the war. Have some fucking respect.

This is like some post-post hipster album pick. Different much, it just sounds like mediocre potential.

They were given nothing sin mate. The country was a shell, streets bombed out, families wiped out.
What they had was funnelled opportunity, standards, better education, a sense of humour and a set of bollocks.

How is it possible to disagree with everyone on polar opposite sides of an argument? Fuck me. I don't take anything Zak says seriously anyway, I mean he keeps bringing up the war. He's a character, no way is he real.

Mental health is a very serious issue, that cannot and should not be argued against. It's also nothing to do with 'generations' as the suffering isn't exclusive to people of a certain age. Anyone disregarding actual mental illness is an awful human being, so I just want to distance myself from that side of the argument, which I wasn't even really a part of... I just said I'm not a 'millennial' and yes, the younger generations are pandered to, sometimes unnecessarily... THE TWO ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE FFS!
