>Violin Tsunami would have been an amazing closer, and Id rather keep Annie as a bonus track

Very specific, but I agree. Annie is not an _amazing_ song, that's just unhealthy redneck hyperbole.

"probably the weakest kishi bashi for me so far, as it loses a bit of the zaniness and eclecticness from his past releases, but theres still plenty of charm here"

I think the earnestness and less zaniness is in keeping with the powerful lyrical themes for the most part

Rednecks tends to like simple music like that Annie song. I'm surprised I have to tell you these things. Maybe you prefer the term 'hillbilly'.

Either way it's a morsel for low IQ listeners.

After some painful introspection, I would like to apologize for my trollish actions in this thread.

~The word that you

Had found for me

A favorite sound of mine~

Yeah Marigolds still destroys me. And then followed up with A Song For You? Can't play this album if I'm about to leave the house.

State your reasons.

(I'd just like more activity itt and I suspect my sob stories don't draw flocks of people in.)

I dunno this is like a catchier and more upbeat Japanese Carrie & Lowell. What's not to like?

I'm gonna come back to this and like it more one day dammit. It's exactly my type of music, but I just haven't had a meaningful listen. And I've tried a lot

Great review. This is a new artist to me and has been one of the finds of the year so far. A really excellent album.
