Dipping into Shouso Strip for the first time since this happened and hot damn, if my life was an anime I'd still want Izon-Shou played at my funeral

Only if the cause of death is related to some sort of addiction

Unlikely, because if I was ever going to die from that it'd be from this album killing me with shock withdrawal symptoms

Muzai is next after that. I prefer jazzy, quirky Shiina over rock-y, joyous Shiina.

Nah I'm a cheapskate so cd but damn, vinyl would be beautiful...

And in fairness I didn't check the site for multiple weeks so it wouldn't have made much difference if they had

honestly, if you are just buying japanese cds amazon.co.jp is usually the best bet. I can find most of what im looking for on there, plus they have all the latest releases, which is great if you like watching live shows.

strongly endorse samwise’s recommendation: amazon.co.jp is by far the best place to get new japanese cds/dvds/whatever; better than cdjapan, usually better than hmv; definitely miles ahead of playasia. amazon has rlly cheap express international shipping and more discounts on their items than other sites; plus they have that points system.

A Muzai vinyl is stupid expensive. I'd be impressed if anyone here bought one. I felt bad enough for dropping $200 on a Shouso Strip vinyl from Yahoo Auctions.

yea i dont regret my record purchases in that ballpark. i know these things dont retail for $200 but music can give you so much that it can sure as hell be worth that to you.

^ For sure. I don't regret my purchase at all, and would never re-sell it. I can't say I wouldn't pass up an opportunity to get KZK on vinyl either. That's definitely the holy grail for me as far as collecting Shiina's discography physically.

Gave this another listen, honestly I dig most of the tracks on this album, nothing offensive. Sure, she didnt experiment too much, but the guest features are well implemented, the production is stellar, and overall jazz pop vibes are a nice diversion from the usual jpop/rock sound thats the usual in the jmusic scene.
