i thought this was excellent - might even be my fave hecker album i've heard. the opener is just stunning and it makes for a really tight and rewarding listen after that.

Oh absolutely, this and Love Streams are the only two albums of his that are anything less than great imo

And yeah, the opener on this is fuckin incredible. It does get a little bit lost with the drums a track or two in but it resolves itself quite nicely by the end

Ok this is growing on me. I think I'm meh about this record if I listen to it in proximity to Konoyo (which is definitely superior), but if I take this is far removed from Konoyo it stands really well on its own.
