Taiji was such an amazing bassist and that shows the most on this album. How he manages to make all his fills and flourishes flow so well with the guitars and yet still follow drum beats without sticking to root notes is really amazing.

I would have loved to hear a version with higher production quality and better pronunciation on Toshi's part. Both fit songs like Blue Blood or Week End, but a song as opulent as Rose of Pain needs the same kind of treatment as Art of Life got imo.

I think the version I got is the original and it's kinda muddy in places and quite noisy overall - I'm not complaining though, like I said it fits the music on the whole, just not that particular song. Would really be interested in what a (well done) remastered version sounds like for sure.
