"Can you go one review without setting off the Sputnik swear alarm or becoming overly ranty for the sake of it? Jesus Christ."
proceeds to use "Holy fucking Christ" in his very next comment...

"setting off the Sputnik swear alarm"
So you're not complaining about the cursing so much as you are OP's allowing their rev to be properly censored? Is that some weird meta critique of what

Yet again, another reason why bias has no place in music reviews. If you can find no redeeming qualities to the album, why review it at all? Nobody really cares how much you dislike the album, and you said nothing here that was worth reading

The point is it's unprofessional as fuck to swear to the degree this guy does in a review.

@Johnny: I guess you're right, Treb's staff review is just as bad as this.
@Snake: oof. Yeah even if I "grew out of them" I wouldn't agree, because the domino effect changed my taste from primarily shite like Pantera and stuff people call "butt rock" to what it is now.

I hated them when I was more their target demo (like 14-16 around 2011-2013) but ever since semp they’ve been a band I appreciate for sure

yeah for me it was the closest to a "spiritual awakening" I'd ever felt hearing Crucify Me for the first time in mid-2013, I was a few months away from 14. Since then it's just been this domino effect that turned my taste into whatever it is now.

yeah maybe i didn't make my message clear enough
the fact that this band has been around for six albums now and has created zero tangible benefits to the music industry other than pure cringe and has amassed such an incredible following regardless is an affront to the entire existence of music itself
is that better?

If your message is you like making extreme exaggerations then yeah good job

Maybe there's something we see in it that you don't, that's what I think you're missing there. If I'm honest, that description applies more to an act like BOTDF. Maybe even BVB, since they're content with just being average as shit their entire career aside from maybe Wretched & Divine and the self-titled.

God damn I didn't realise you were that young Deathbat, I feel sorry for you if you only got into them around 2013, you missed all their best years : (

Really though? I can kinda get CYB's appeal, as while it's sloppy as fuck it's still pretty fun...but I've tried for five or so years to get into Suicide Season until I just gave the fuck up. Only tracks I can make a case for are The Comedown, The Sadness Will Never End, and the title track...and even then, the title track drags a lot during its first half or so.

Yeah they've been kinda bad every time I've seen them since Leeds fest 2013, which was the last time they were good live, but their shows that I caught between 07 and 2010 ish were all fucking ridiculous and amazing.
Suicide Season is their weakest album after TTS but it still goes in hard I love it.

Yeah I haven't seen them live at all, they never drop by my area, I never have the funds to fly over to wherever the fuck they're playing, etc.

Yeah from what I can tell America's live scene sucks, you get at best 2 dates in a state (usually cali) and have to travel forever to see somebody, whereas over here it's rare a band does less than 5 dates across the country (so think 5 dates just in cali), often well over 10 if it's an academy tour and there's almost nobody that lives in England that's more than an hours train from a major city.
