Lol well melt-banana embrace the silliness of their name in the most wholesome, exciting way (+ Bambi's Dilemma was named after they hit a deer on tour by mistake)

melt-banana is a sick band name no comparison to this band name, but I don't give that much of a shit about a band name if the music is killer

This is a lot better than the band name leads on though so far. I do think the name will hinder their growth in fanbase a fair bit and that's unfortunate...

AFI and Alexisonfire are childhood favs of mine

I dunno I think a band that chooses to call themselves Wristmeetrazor is probably embracing themselves. Its probably just a nod to a classic band and a not so serious embrace of dat 1997-2004 core aesthetic which they obviously try to embody.

This is way better than most of that 1997-2004 core music though I definitely see a converge influence here though and I love that it carries it without ripping it off. Their's plenty of separation vocally and even instrumentally.

I liked hank’s account when his posts were just blank but he ruined the aesthetic

Theres a lot of good stuff with a bit of meh stuff in the 90s-2004, but 2005 and on wards is mostly bad with a few exceptions here and there.

As a person whos actually sat through a lot of bad core albums from this past decade im gonna have to give a big no on that one.

Prime example of a shit band name being used for great things, this one blew me away. Might 4.5 this eventually.
