im almost tempted to lower my rating for this to a 2.5

Album Rating: 4.0
it has by far the best and catchiest songwriting off of any of their records

Album Rating: 4.0
listened to this 4 times now
and dont really love any song off of it
i like some
and find others to be forgettable
the songwriting isnt up to snuff to their last two records
the energy isnt really there

yeah this has more catchier stuff than TRM, though I do like their more intense stuff on that record.

it's my favorite of the early records and their 2nd best after living infinite imo

The Ride Majestic is good but The Living Infinite is better in most aspects
this is decent but needs some more speed, production is a bit too smacky in the mids without much girth

Am I the only one getting power-metal ish vibes from some of the choruses?
This is solid stuff overall but definitely not as good as their last 2 albums, and a couple songs I'm not really fond of.

I'd put this on par with The Ride Majestic and just below The Living Infinite, production is the only real flaw
the power metal vibes are just the big choruses and I honestly love them

my biggest complaint on this is that 'You Aquiver' is misplaced. I would not put that song at the end. 'The Ageless Whisper' would've been more fitting, especially if it had a slightly longer outro.

'it has by far the best and catchiest songwriting off of any of their records'
For me that would be Natural Born Chaos by far. That entire record is sing-along material. Might still be their high watermark imo. Tossup between that and Living Infinite.

ye i can see natural born chaos being that for someone for sure

Gonna have to jam this a few more times but yeah I don't think this comes anywhere close to TRM.
